Bolivia started sending delegates to Miss World pageant with its first representative Maria Monica Guardia in 1975 through the annual Miss Bolivia contest where the Big4 - Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss earth representatives are chosen. But on June 4, 2015 Miss Bolivia Team announced to split their national
pageant into two - Miss Bolivia (for Miss Universe, Miss International
and Miss Earth) and Miss Mundo Bolivia (for Miss World) in order to meet the stipulated requirements of the Miss World
Organization.
However, Bolivia has no record of win in Miss World pageant but had a placement of Top 15 in 1982 (first ever placement) and 1983 by Brita Cederberg and Ana Maria Arnold respectively making it a double win in a row. The peak of Bolivia was in 1995 when it was placed Top 10 courtesy of Carla Morón.
