Miss Illinois USA 2016 was held on yesterday September 7, 2015 at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Chicago where Zena Malak won the title of Miss Illinois USA 2016. She battled with 84 other contestants to emerge as winner and also won the Miss Photogenic award. Zena succeeds to Renee Wronecki who made the Top 15 at Miss USA 2015 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

She was the 4th runner-up at Miss Illinois USA 2013 and won the Miss Illinois Galaxy International 2011. DePaul University graduate in Chicago will compete at Miss USA 2016 in July 2016.

Illinois has won the Miss USA title four or more times won four or more Miss USA titles and one of only three states to win two Miss USA titles in consecutive years. All four winners came from the early history of the competition, with their last Miss USA being Karen Morrison, who held the title in 1974.
