Miss Philippines Cindy Madumma crowned Miss Scuba International 2015

Miss Philippines Cindy Madumma won Miss Scuba International 2015 pageant which was held on Friday, November 27 held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Her runners-up are Kiara Aiello from Venezuela, and  Tessa Ptacek from USA. The special awards were Miss Photogenic & Miss Talent - Miss Latvia, Miss Marine Conservation & Best in National Costume-Miss Philippines and Miss Congeniality - Miss Venezuela .


27-year-old Cindy is a Pinay nurse from Palawan, who was handpicked by the Miss Scuba Philippines team to represent the country.  She was Miss Global Philippines 2014-Tourism Ambassador and she represented the country in the Miss Tourism World 2014 held in Caracas, Venezuela. The closest the country ever got to bringing home the Miss Scuba International crown was in 2013 when Paula Bernasor was declared 1st runner-up to winner Jaime Lee Faulkner from the United Kingdom.

The Miss Scuba International pageant, with its mission “Saving Oceans through Beauty,” started in 2011 and was founded by Robert Lo, who is a strong believer in sustainable development within the realms of the marine environment.
Lo hopes that through this pageant, more people will understand how fragile the oceans are and how to make a big difference by protecting it. The pageant focuses on marine and ocean conservation.
