Miss Egypt 2014 Lara Debbane has been appointed Miss World Egypt 2015.

Lara Debbane from Cairo is Miss World Egypt 2015. She was appointed on 31st October to represent Egypt at Miss World 2015 contest which finale is scheduled for 19th December 2015 in Sanya, China.
The 21-year-old, 1.75m tall queen succeeds Amina Ashraf. This is not the first time Lara will be going to international pageants. She was Miss Egypt 2014 which gave her the right to represent Egypt in Miss Universe 2014, though unplaced.

Lara is studying Mass Communication at Notre Dame University in Lebanon, and hopes to pursue her life’s ambition to become a renowned international film director as well as initiate her own NGO focusing on women and youth empowerment worldwide.

Aside from the world of film, Lara enjoys a variety of activities including painting, tennis and basketball, and she is a skilled musician, playing the guitar and violin for many years. Lara also loves to dance and enjoys Zumba, salsa, and many other styles. She can speak 4 languages fluently- Arabic, French, English and Italian

Egypt's only win at Miss World is over 60years which is way too old to rejoice about. However, for the sake of records, we would acknowledge Antigone Costanda of 1954 who won the first and only Miss World 1954 crown for Egypt. With Lara Debbane experience, we hope she could bag a glory of the latter for Egypt if not win perhaps a placement.
