Antoinette Delali Kemavor won the Miss Ghana 2015 pageant held at the Accra International Conference Centre on 7th November, 2015. The 20 years old and 1.79m tall queen bested 20 other contestants to win the national pageant which qualifies her as the country's delegate at Miss World 2015 pageant to be held in Sanya, China on 19 December 2015 where Rolene
Strauss of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of
the event.
The first runner-up was Afua Akrofi while seond runner up went to Rebecca Asamoah.
Antoinette is a Pharmacy student at Central University. She is a gregarious person with a soft spot for the
aged in society. She described
herself as beautiful, curious and a daring young lady with a fighting
spirit. She loves jollof with chicken. She has an impeccable smile and hopes to be
groomed and trained to boost her confidence.
Miss Ghana pageant is the biggest and oldest national beauty pageant in Ghana which was established in 1957 with
Monica Amekoafia as its first winner. Star Nyaniba Annan was the first delegate sent to Miss World in 1959. The closest the country has got to the crown was in 2013 when
Carranzar Shooter finished as second runner up. Last year's delegate, Nadia Ntanu finished Top 25. Asides all these mentioned, Ghana has been placed as Top 15/16 thrice.
