Chelsea Myers from Tempe wins Miss Arizona USA 2016

Chelsea Myers from Tempe won Miss Arizona USA 2016. The 23 years old and 5'9" tall queen was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Maureen Montagne of Chandler on November 22, 2015. She will have the opportunity to compete at the 2016 Miss USA Pageant where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma.

Also at the event, Tristany Hightower was crowned Miss Arizona Ten USA 2016.

Arizona has had a comparatively large number of semi-finalists and placings, but has never won the Miss USA crown in its own right. However, in 1980, Jineane Ford was awarded the title after Shawn Weatherly (who won the original pageant) won the Miss Universe pageant.
