Katy Brown was crowned Miss Connecticut Teen USA 2016

Katy Brown from Hebron was crowned Miss Connecticut Teen USA 2016  at the conclusion of the state pageant, held on November 15, 2015 at Hartford Marriott Farmington in Hartford. She will represent Connecticut at the next edition of Miss Teen USA, to be held next year.
The 18 years old and 5'8" tall queen was crowned by the outgoing queen, Miss Connecticut Teen USA 2015, Savannah Giammarco. also at the event Tiffany Teixeira was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2016.


Katy is a graduate of Rham High School and is currently a Freshman at the University of Rhode Island, where she is maintaining straight A’s. Her career ambition is to start a volunteer abroad rehabilitation program for adolescents who suffer from depression, suicidal tendencies, substance abuse and anxiety, giving them a chance to make a difference in the world and their own lives.
She enjoys hiking, cliff jumping, yoga, wake boarding, surfing, dirt bike riding and dancing. Katy’s social cause is Global Warming and she is committed to working with Habitat for Humanity. Katy’s school and community activities include: Community service, volunteering abroad, and Power of Words Anti-Bullying program.


Logan West Miss Teen USA 2012 was the first and only queen from Connecticut to win the national pageant.  The state has only placed as semifinalist twice in 1993 and 2202 courtesy of Cynthia Schneck and Ashley Bickford respectively.
