Nichole Greene is Miss West Virginia USA 2016

Nichole Greene from Charleston was crowned Miss West Virginia USA 2016 on October 11, 2015 in Flatwoods. She is 24 years old and stands 5'5" tall. She will represent her state at Miss USA 2016, where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. Greene succeeds Miss West Virginia USA 2015 Andrea Mucino. Also at the event Cassy Trickett was crowned Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2016

Crowning moment

Nichole was 1RU at last year's state pageant. She went to Nitro High School and is graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Communications. She is a professional make-artist and hopes to create her own industry-leading cosmetic line. She collects Disney’s Beauty and the Beast memorabilia and loves to curl up with a good book. Other hobbies include modeling, watching Jeopardy and yoga.

Apart from being successful at beauty pageant, Nicole was also successful at academics . While at Marshall University she was on the Dean’s List and a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Collegiate Honor Society. She was named the Alpha XI Delta Most Inspirational Sister. While in High School she led a group of fellow classmates to overcome literary censorship.

Miss West Virginia USA 2016 Top 5

West Virginia has not been greatly successful at Miss USA and they have never won the Miss USA Pageant. After an eighteen-year drought that ended in 2005, three West Virginian delegates placed within the last few years: Kristen Morrison (2005), Jessi Pierson (2009) and Chelsea Welch (2013)
