The Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAS) made its debut on October 8, 2015. It's an annual award presented by American television network Telemundo. It is the Spanish-language counterpart of the American Music Awards produced by the Dick Clark Productions.
As
they do with the American Music Awards, fans had the chance to vote for
their favorite Latin music sensations in a number of categories ranging
from pop/rock and urban music to tropical, regional Mexican and dance.
Nicky Jam raises the stakes with a leading six nominations, followed by crossover favorites Enrique Inglesias and Romeo Santos. The evening isn't just dedicated to specifically Latin artists, though, as Meghan Trainor, Ellie Goulding, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez also received nods. Paulina Rubio, Lil Jon, Natalie La Rose and Daddy Yankee,
among others, will also take the stage for what are sure to be some
incredible performances at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
