Mireia Lalaguna wins Miss World Spain 2015.

Mireia Lalaguna won Miss World Spain 2015. The 22-year-old beauty queen was crowned at the end of the finale held on Sunday, October 25 at Teatro Auditorio Felipe VI de Estepona in Malaga. She is 5'9" tall and was crowned by her predecessor, Miss World Spain 2014 Lourdes Rodríguez. Mireia will now represent Spain at Miss World 2015 which will take place on 19th December 2015 at Sanya, China.

The first runner-up was Miss Asturias, Angela González and Second runner-up went to Miss Baleares, Natalia Ferrer. Ángela Ponce a transgender was allowed to compete at the pageant by the organizers and turned out to be the crowd's favourite, however didn't make it to Top 10.

Mireia is from Barcelona and currently studies Pharmacy at the University of Barcelona while she works as a part-time model. She enjoys playing piano, tennis and other various sports.

Spain is yet to produce a Miss World Winner but it has one second runner-up courtesy of  Maria del Carmen Fernández (1961). Two fourth runner-up crowns Gloria María Valenciano in 1978 and Susana de la Llave Varón in 1988. In 2013 Miss World Spain Elena Ibarbia Jiménez was in the top 6 of Miss World pageant. Spain debuted at Miss World in the year 1961 with Concepción Molinera Palacios being its first representative. Spain has bagged twelve semi final spots at the Miss World Pageant.
