Anna Vergelskaya was crowned
Miss Ukraine
Universe 2015 in a simple ceremony held on October 18. The 1.74m tall beauty from Kiev 26 years of age will compete
at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 20.

Anna is studying Marketing and works as a model. She succeeds Diana Harkusha and Anna Andres. Miss Universe
Ukraine 2014 Anna Andres resigned her title due to personal reasons,
Harkusha, the first runner-up, represented the country at the 2014 Miss
Universe Pageant in Doral Miami and became the second runner-up.
“I
remember watching the Miss Universe Pageant as a child, everything
impressed me : The gorgeous stage, beautiful girls, the show… I wanted
to experience it for myself.” said Anna.
Anna would love to promote a positive and peaceful image of Ukraine during her reign

Although Ukraine is yet to win the Miss Universe crown, it is
considered as one of the countries to watch out for at Miss Universe as it is noted for producing strong beauties each year. In
2010, Anna Poslavska placed as 3rd runner-up. In 2011, Olesya Stefanko
finished as first runner-up which is so far the highest placement for
the country. In January 2015, during the Miss Universe 2014
contest, Diana Harkusha became 2nd runner-up. Will Anna Verhelska live up to the expectations?
