Cassy Trickett is crowned Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2016

Cassy Trickett from St. Marys was crowned Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2016 at the Flatwoods Conference Center on October 11, 2015.  The 17-year-old and 5'8" tall beauty Cassy will compete at Miss Teen USA 2016, she succeeds Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2015 Cora King. At the same event, Nichole Greene was crowned Miss West Virginia USA 2016.

“Is this real, am I your Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2016? Words can’t explain how blessed I am to have the support system I do. ” said Cassy after her crowning. She enjoys raising baby ducklings, collecting duck memorabilia, hunting, fishing, gymnastics and volunteering at the local fire department with her mother.

Casse attends St. Marys High School and is not just a beauty but a 'Beauty with Brain'. She has received a Scholarship Award, Volunteer Community Service Award, was selected to attend the People to People Program in Europe, she is also on the 4.0 Honor Roll and is the Student Body President. She has had perfect attendance for 12 years of education. She hopes to obtain her first degree in Special Education with an emphasis on Down Syndrome at University of Charleston.  Her career ambition is to work with the non-profit organization, Down Syndrome Awareness, to lobby for the rights of those affected with Down Syndrome.

She plans to attend the University of Charleston and obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education with an emphasis on Down Syndrome. Her career ambition is to work with the non-profit organization, Down Syndrome Awareness, to lobby for the rights of those affected with Down Syndrome.
