Edymar Martinez from Venezuela wins Miss International 2015 (RESULT)


Miss Venezuela Edymar Martinez won the 55th edition of Miss International pageant - Miss International 2015 at the end of the grand finale held today, November 5, 2015 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa's Hiten Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Supriya Aiman is Miss International India 2015

Supriya Aiman is Miss International India 2015. She has been appointed by Glamanand Supermodel India to represent India at Miss International 2015 to be held in Tokyo, Japan on 5th November. Supriya is 24-year-old and 5'8" tall beauty from Patna.

Supriya is not new to pageant as she was a semi-finalist at Femina Miss India 2013 and a finalist in Miss Kolkata 2013. She had been modelling since couple of years and is extremely good on ramp, which might just be a plus point of hers in Miss International contest.

India has never won the Miss International title before but has record of several runners up, finalist and semifinalist in the pageant. The last time it placed was in 2012, when Rochelle Maria Rao placed in Top 15. The new franchise holder of Miss India International is Nikhil Anand, head of Glamanand Supermodel India who also took over Miss Earth India few months back. Irina Peguero is Miss International Dominican Republic 2015

Irina Peguero from Higüey is appointed as Miss International Dominican Republic 2015. She was Miss La Altagracia in Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2013 where she ended in the Top 13 and preliminary award of Best Legs. The beauty is 22 years old and stands 6'2" tall. She will represent the island in Miss International 2015

 Dominican Republic has never won the Miss International crown but has record of placements.  The highest placement and closest to the crown was in 2005 when Yadira Geara finished as 1st runner-up. Also, Melody Mir Jiménez of 2012 finished 3rd runner up at the pagenat. The country has also placed twice as Top 12 in 2002 and 2006 courtesy of Jeimi Franjul and Wilma Nazario respectively.  Another placement as Top 15 with Victoria Fernández.  Bárbara Santana was last year's representative at Miss International and was unplaced.

Irina has a huge task ahead of her because this year's competition cannot be mitigated with stunning contestants like New Zealand - Hayley Robinson, Norway- Cecilie Andrea Røising, Venezuela- Edymar Martinez, DENMARK - Mette Riis Sørensen, Philippinnes - Janicel Lubina, Mexico - Lorena Sevilla and among others. Nevertheless, we wish Irina Peguero luck in her quest to win Miss International 2015.

Meet Larissa Hlinovsky, Miss International Australia 2015

Larissa Hlinovsky is Miss International Australia 2015. She is 26 years of age from Brisbane, Queensland.  Currently studying Journalism and works as a professional model. She succeeds Bridgette-Rose Taylor who was unplaced in last year's contest.  Larissa will represent Australia at the Miss International 2015 pageant. She describes the Miss International Australia 2015 as an amazing experience.

Larissa, as the Miss International Australia 2015, wants to make a difference by using her Journalism skills to help promote cause of ovarian cancer awareness. She is excited to attend the Miss International pageant and help bring love, friendship, peace and excitement to the world.  “I still can’t believe it! I’m so proud and I feel beyond blessed that I have the privilege of representing Australia at the world titles in Japan as Miss International Australia. ” shared Larissa.


Miss International Australia is one of the most prestigious title in Australia for young aspiring models and has produced three Miss International winners so far - Miss International 1972: Kirsten Davidson, Miss International 1981: Jenny Derek and Miss International 1961: Tanie Verstak. But in recent years, since the formation of the official national contest, the Australian delegates as not being placed.

Haiti Sends Delegates to Miss World, Seydina Allen and Miss International, Marie Menard




Seydina Allen was crowned Miss Haiti 2015 at the end of the beauty pageant held on October 2, 2015. The 23-year-old queen succeeds Miss World Haiti 2014 Carolyn Désert. As Miss Haiti 2015, Seydina will represent Haiti at Miss World 2015 on 19 December 2015 at the Beauty Crown Grand Theatre, Sanya, China. She defeated 19 other contestants tot clinch to the coveted crown.

Haiti's first and only placement was in 1975 when it made its debut with Joelle Apollon who finished 5th runner-up at the Miss World 1975 pageant. Withdrew from the pageant for 38 years and returned in 2013 with Ketsia Lioudy who was unplaced and last year's Haiti representative, Carolyn Désert was also unplaced.

Also at the event, Marie Vyannie Menard was crowned Miss International Haiti 2015, she will compete in Miss International pageant. Haiti first delegate at Miss International was Anedie Azael in 2012 who finished as Top 15. Clara Luce Lafond of 2013 and Christie Desirt of 2014 were both unplaced.

Puerto Rico's bet for Miss International 2015 is Wilmary Monción Román

Wilmary Monción Román won Miss Puerto Rico International 2015 yesterday, October 1st at the end of the final held at San Juan Marriott Hotel, Puerto Rico. The 24-year-old model and beauty queen from Salinas was crowned by the current Miss International Valerie Hernandez who represented Puerto Rico in last year's contest. Wilmary had earlier competed in Miss universe Puerto Rico 2015 where she finished as Top 10. She will now compete for another victory at Miss International 2015 coming up in Tokyo, Japan. in November.

Puerto Rico is one of the successful countries in Miss International pageant over the years. It has produced to winners of the international title - Laurie Simpson in 1987 and Valerie Hernandez in 2014. Had a 3rd runner up placement - Desireé Del Río De Jesús in 2011 and nine semi-finalists.With Valerie's help and tips on how the pageant works, do you think Puerto Rico would have a 3rd win this year?

Miss Tunisie 2014 Wahiba Arres to represent Tunisia in Miss International 2015

Wahiba Arres is Miss International Tunisia 2015. She is 21 years old and stands 1.79m tall. She will represent the northern African nation of Tunisia at Miss International 2015 pageant on November 5 in Tokyo, Japan. Wahiba was Miss Tunisia 2014 and competed at Miss World 2014 pageant in London where she was unplaced. She is currently in her second year taking up English studies.

Tunisia has never won the Miss International pageant but is recorded has highest placed African country in 1996 contest by Tunisia representative, Ibticem Lahmar who finished 1st runner up.

Margarita Pasha is Miss International Ukraine 2015

Margarita Pasha was crowned Miss International Ukraine 2015. She also won the award of Miss People Choice at national pageant of Miss Ukraine 2015 won by Khrystyna Stoloka held on 22 Sept. 2015. She is 20 years old and presently doing a higher education training in International Business Management. The 1.74m tall beauty queen from Kharkov will now represent Ukraine at Miss International 2015 pageant to be held in Tokyo, Japan in November. She succeeds Sofia Oleinyk Miss International Ukraine 2014 who was unplaced.

Margarita learnt dancing from age 4 and started going for Artistic Gymnastics at age 6 which has made her a Master of Sports in Artistic Gymnastics. She loves traveling to get to know culture of different countries. She adores children and hopes to venture into charity work in future.  She also makes bead icons and enjoy studying psychology and esoterics.

 Ukraine's first delegate, Natalya Vorona at Miss International 1993 who finished as 2nd runner up has been the highest placement of the country. However has record of Top 10 thrice in 1996, 2001, 2003 by Nataliya Kozitskaya, Nataliya Bakulina and Veronika Bondarenko respectively. The last placement was in 2005 when Mariya Zhukova finished as Top 12.

Mónica Mariani was appointed as Miss International Paraguay 2015

On 21st Sept. 2015, Mónica Mariani was appointed as Miss International Paraguay 2015. She will represent Paraguay in the Miss International 2015 pageant coming up on November 5, 2015 in Tokyo, Japan. The 23 years old and 1.74m tall newly crowned queen succeeds Jessica Servin who was unplaced at Miss International last year. Previous pageants Monica had contested include Miss Tourism International 2010, Miss America Latina Del Mundo 2011 and Miss Tourism Queen International 2011.


Other crowned queens are Laura Garcete as Miss Universe Paraguay 2015 (Nuestra Belleza Paraguay 2015), Giovanna Cordeiro as Miss World Paraguay 2015 and Myriam Arevalos was crowned Miss Earth Paraguay 2015
 
Paraguay is not so successful at this pageant but has a close mark to the title when Nicole Huber finished as 4th runner-up in 2012 and Jannyne Elena Peyrat Scolari won a special award of Best National Costume in 1994. In 1960, Gretel Hedger Carvallo who was the first ever delegate of Paraguay at Miss International pageant finished as Top 15 as well the following year, 1961 by Gladys Fernández

Gautemala declares its queens as Jeimmy Aburto wins Miss Guatemala 2015


Yesterday, 20th September 2015, Miss Guatemala 2015 contest was conducted to choose the other 3 representatives of the Big4 international pageants namely - Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International. At the end of the event, Fabiola Jeimmy Tahíz Aburto was crowned Miss Guatemala 2015 (Universe), María José Larrañaga as Miss World Guatemala 2015 and Saida Jerónimo as Miss International Guatemala 2015. While Sara Veralucia Guerrero Chavarrira has been appointed as Miss Earth Guatemala 2015 last month

Jeimmy Aburto is 21 years old from Ciudad Capital Sur. She is a Guatemalan model was crowned as Miss Guatemala 2015 by the outgoing queen Ana Luisa Montufar who was unplaced at Miss Universe 2014. She bested 11 other contestants to win the Miss Guatemala 2015 title which gives her the official right of representing Guatemala at Miss Universe 2015.

María José Larrañaga is 23 years old from Depto Guatemala. She was adjudged Miss Mundo Guatemala 2015 and crowned by Keyla Bermudez, the outgoing queen who was unplaced at Miss World 2014. As the newly crowned Miss World Guatemala, she will participate in the Miss World 2015 pageant to be held on December 19 in Sanya, China.

The 3rd queen is Saida Jerónimo from Chiquimula who was crowned as Miss Internacional Guatemala 2015. The 22 years old delegate was crowned by her predecessor, Claudia Herrera who failed to place at Miss International 2014 pageant. Saida will represent her country at Miss International 2015 pageant to be held in Tokyo, Japan.

Guatemala has never won any of these international pageants nor get placed in Top 5 except in 1984 that  Ihma Julieta Urrutia Chang won the Miss International title. We wish the new delegates luck and hope they could improve on Guatemala's pageantry history.

Meet 2015 Miss International Contestants - (Update)


Miss International 2015 to be held on November 5, 2015 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa's Hiten Hall in Tokyo, Japan. This will be the 55th edition of the pageant and Miss International 2014, Valerie Hernandez of Puerto Rico will crown her successor at the end of the event. This year's crown is created and designed by Mikimoto.
