2 days to Miss France 2016 pageant - Meet the Contestants

Miss France 2015 Camile Cerf

31 regional representatives of France will be competing at Miss France 2016 pageant coming up on Dec. 19th, 2015 at Zénith de Lille. The winner of the 86th edition is expected to represent the country in Miss Universe 2016 and Miss World pageant next year. Miss France 2015 Camile Cerf of Nord-Pas-de-Calais will crown her successor at the end of the event.


Camille Cerf could not represent the country at the international pagenat due to the clash in dates with the national pageant. Therefore, Miss France 2014  Flora Coquerel is currently representing France at Miss Universe 2015 pageant in Las Vegas while Miss France 2015 first runner-up Hinarere Taputu is representing her country at Miss World 2015 in Sanya,China. 

France was the first country to win Both Miss World and Miss Universe in the Same year. Denise Perrier bagged the Miss World 1953 crown where as her compatriot Christiane Martel was crowned as Miss Universe 1953. France has entered the top 5 of Miss Universe only once. France has three first runner-up crowns at Miss World,Claudine Auger was crowned the first princess at Miss World 1958,Véronique Caloc was awarded the same title at Miss World 1998 and Marine Lorphelin bagged the first runner-up (first princess) crown at 2013 edition of Miss World.
