Karlie Hay is crowned Miss Texas Teen USA 2016

17 years old Karlie Hay was crowned Miss Texas Teen USA 2016 on November 29, 2015 at Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel, Texas.  The 5'8" tall queen represented her hometown, Kemah at the state level to succeed Chloe Kembel Miss Texas Teen USA 2015. As the newly crowned queen, she will represent Texas at Miss Teen USA 2016 where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss Teen USA Katherine Haik from Louisiana.

Three months ago, Daniella Rodriguez was crowned Miss Texas USA 2016 and will be representing the state at Miss USA 2016 pageant.

Texas is one of the most successful states across all twenty-seven years of competition at Miss Teen USA. They have had seventeen semi-finalists, three more than any other state. Despite this, they have only won the crown on two occasions, in 1996 when Christie Lee Woods took the title and 15 years later in 2011 when Danielle Doty won.
