Natriana Shorter was crowned Miss Oregon USA 2016.

24-year-old Natriana Shorter was crowned Miss Oregon USA 2016. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder Bridget Wilmes at the end of the pageant held at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham

on November 29, 2015. The 5'9" tall beauty queen from Eugene will compete at the 2016 Miss USA pageant to vie for the coveted crown as she hopes to succeed reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. Mikaela Bruer was crowned the state's delegate at Miss Teen USA 2016.


Shorter competed at the state pageant as Miss Lane County USA. She attends New Hope Christian College, where she is a junior majoring in Business Management and Leadership. She hopes to own a business and serve as a motivational speaker in her spare time. She served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and participates in the Eugene Lunchtime Mentor Program.

The highest placed Miss Oregon USA at the Miss USA Pageant was Gail Atchison in 1976. She finished 2nd runner-up to Barbara Peterson. The most recent finalist was Jennifer Murphy in 2004.
