The Miss World 2015 Sports Challenge finale took place yesterday at Sanya University Sports Track. Miss Namibia, Steffi Van Wyk beat other 23 finalists to win the Sports competition. Her win made history in the Miss World pageant as this is the first time a single delegate will win all the qualifying events - individual shuttle
run, long jump, and 100m sprint.
Placing first to Namibia was Miss Seychelles-Linne
Freminot, second placement went to Miss Guam-Aria Perez Theisen while Kazakhstan-Regina Vandysheva and Miss Samoa- Alofa Latafale Auva’a placed 3rd and 4th respectively.
“I am so proud to have won this, not just for me, but for my country. I can’t thank all the other contestants enough for the support they have given to me. This award is for all of us because the biggest accomplishment of today was how well we worked as a team!” Miss Namibia said after being announced the winner.
