Mikaela Bruer is Miss Oregon Teen USA 2016

Mikaela Bruer was crowned Miss Oregon Teen USA 2016 at the end of the finals, held  at Mt. Hood Community College. She represented Polk County at the state pageant and having won the state title, will represent Oregon at Miss Teen USA 2016 to be held next year. Natriana Shorter was crowned Miss Oregon USA 2016 at the same event

Bruer is 16 years old and is a professional model who has modeled both within and outside USA for Supermodels Unlimited. The 4.33 GPA queen who is passionate about helping both human and animals hopes to attend Cornell University to study Agricultural Management. With a growing thirst for adventure Mikaela has visited 12 countries and hopes to reach 20 by the age of 25. When she’s not busy raising and showing livestock, or competing as an all-star cheerleader, Mikaela strives to “make the best better” by participating in her local 4-H programs.

The state has won the Miss Teen crown thrice courstesy of Mindy Duncan (1988), Bridgette Wilson (1990), and Tami Farrell (2003) who also won the Miss Congeniality award of that year. The state has not placed again since 2003. We hope Mikaela will make a top notch next year.
