Roshmita Harimurthy wins Femina Miss India Bangalore 2016




Roshmitha Harimurthy from Bangalore defeated 12 other contestants to bag the crown of Femina Miss India Bangalore 2016 pageant, which was held yesterday (24th December 2015) at Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru. Roshmitha was crowned by famous South Indian actress Ragini Dwivedi. The first runner-up crown went to Elizabeth Thadikaran where as Sanjana GL bagged the second runner-up crown.

Roshmitha is sister of former Femina Miss India contestant Rakshita Harimurthy. Roshimitha is studying
at Mount Carmel College in Bangalore, she is a full time model working with Prasad Bidappa Model
Management. She enjoys reading books and dancing.

Cassandra Karikari Crowned Miss Galaxy Ghana 2015


Cassandra Karikari was crowned Miss Galaxy Ghana 2015 at the end of the first ever edition of the Miss Galaxy Ghana pageant. The pageant was held on 19 December 2015 at the auditorium of the Zenith University College in Accra, Ghana. Cassandra Karikari battled out 17 other contestants to claim the title of Miss galaxy Ghana 2012. She won Mazda Saloon car and cash prize as winner.

At the same event, Ewurama Barbara McCarthy was declared as the first runner up and Kafui Ahadzi was declared second runner-up. The contestants went through various rounds like talent show, individual presentations, dance etc. this was used as a bas to decide the winner.  The event was laced with music and dance performances from Atom of Ye Wo Krom fame, Luther, Kobi Rana, Capasta, AJ, Dem Tinz and DJ Young.

Speaking in an interview with Showbiz, Mawutor Gawornu CEO of Dukes Media House, organisers of the show urged Ghanaians especially students to attend the event. Miss Galaxy Ghana is an environmental focus pageant that empowers young ladies to become influential actors in the fight against poor environmental practises in Ghana. Maria Fernanda Valenzuela Gaxiola from Mexico is Miss All Nations 2015

Maria Fernanda Valenzuela Gaxiola was crowned Miss All Nations 2015 during the finals, held on December 18th, 2015 in Nanjing, China. She represented Mexico in the said pageant. At the same event, Miss South Africa, Cecelia Brits was crowned as 1st runner-up while Miss Thailand, Praewpayome Luksitanon was crowned as 2nd runner-up. The other 8 finalists were the representatives from Vietnam, Australia, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Siberia, Latvia, Russia and Mongolia.

Maria Fernanda Valenzuela Gaxiola is a 20-year-old beauty is very new to pageant world. The newly crowned Miss All Nations 2015 added on her victory: “I am very excited about this win and very pleased with myself because we were several weeks to be tested in a completely different place to live and it was difficult to live with girls with cultures different from mine. I am very happy and likewise, very committed to the people who support me until today and beyond. I’m very excited about what’s coming and very committed to show my people how beautiful it is to be here, “he said, although so far has no working proposal and added that the victory is not individual, as it has been his family who accompanied in very difficult times. I believe God always sends us just what everyone deserves. God knows why things happen, I am happy and grateful to everyone who has supported me. Thank you!”

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen congratulates the Philippines on Miss Universe win






In her recent post on Twitter (@thesushmitasen), Film actress and former Miss Universe from India, Sushmita Sen congratulated the Philippines after Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach won Miss Universe 2015 on Sunday – saying Pia is a beautiful and well-spoken Miss Universe.
Sushmita is the first woman from her country to win Miss Universe. After completing her reign, Sushmita went on to pursue Bollywood.

She tweeted that winning Miss Universe 1994 in Manila is a cherished blessing. “For me, every Filipino is family and Philippines my second home ever since 21st May 1994.”
With regard to Steve Harvey’s mistake last Sunday, Sushmita posted a comment describing the announcement of the wrong winner as “a careless mistake that hurts a nation’s pride.”

“Try justifying that to #MissColombia #disgraceful.”

Taylor Gorton is crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2016

24-year-old Taylor Gorton was crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2016 on December 20, 2015 at the Riverwind Showplace Theater in Norman. She was reigning Miss South Tulsa USA an was crowned as the state delegate by outgoing titleholder Alexandra Miller. She will now represent her state at the 2016 Miss USA pageant, where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma.





Previously, she was Miss Oklahoma Teen USA 2008 and finished among the Top 15 at Miss Teen USA 2008.  She was student in Broadcast Journalism specially Sports Broadcasting. Since my move to St. Louis, she became a member of the St. Louis Rams Cheerleading squad.
