Miss Ireland 2015 Sacha Livingstone to represent Ireland in Miss World 2015

At the finals of Miss Ireland 2015 held yesterday at Crown Plaza Hotel, Dublin, Sacha Livingstone was adjudged Miss Ireland 2015. The 20 years old portrait artist and English literature student from Hillsborough in Antrim vied against 31 irish beauties to win the coveted crown. She enjoys horse-riding and athletics, worked in a local charity shop and is a youth leader. As usual with past winners of Miss Ireland pageant, Sacha will be representing her country at Miss World 2015 in Sanya, China later this year.

The first runner-up was Aislinn Maxwell, 22 years old who represented Dublin South. She as passion for fashion and works as an assistant buyer. Finished as 2nd runner up was Aoife O’Sullivan, representative of Cork South. 20 years old Aoife has passion for music and sings classical and Sean Os music. She splits her time between camogie, studying to become a teacher and working as a part-time model and waitress.

The judges were Irish celebrity blogger and columnist  Suzanne Jackson, former Miss Ireland 2013 Aoife Walsh, Miss Ireland 2012 and mentor Rebecca Maguire, Vanity X Make-Up creator Debbie McQuillan, celebrity photographer Brian McEvoy, and topping the team was PR guru Valerie Roe.  The event was sponsored by Crown Brush, Gold Fever Hair Extensions, So Amazing, Vanity X Make-up and Nail Nerds.

Ireland has record of success stories in the Miss World pageant since its participation. Rosanna Davison Miss Ireland 2003 won the Miss World 2003 title, in 1990 Siobhan McClafferty emerged 1st runner-up in Miss World 1990,  Gladys Anne Waller Miss Ireland 1965 finished as 2nd runner-up in Miss World 1965 while Emma Waldon Miss Ireland 2010 finished as 3rd runner-up in Miss World 2010.
