Angelia Ong of Philippines wins Miss Earth 2015

The 15 staging of Miss Earth 2015 was concluded yesterday, Dec 5th in Vienna, Austria. Angelia Ong from Philippines was crowned the winner making a back-to-back win for Philippines as the outgoing queen Jamie Herrel is also from Philippines. This is the 3rd time Philippines is winning the international pageant as the first filipino to win it was Karla Henry of 2008.

Angelia is 25 years old and stands 1.72m tall. Her win was a surprise to many as the only placement she had in the preliminaries was Second runner-up in Miss Friendship. The pageant analyst and followers had their bet on Miss Panama who had the highest gold medals, Thailand and Mongolia more than any other contestant. Seems Miss Earth pageant is just one international pageant that defiles prediction.

Best in Swimsuit
Miss Earth 2015 swimsuit competition was held on December 2 at Wolfgangsee –  one of the most popular lakes in Austria that lies mostly within the state of Salzburg and is one of the best known lakes in the Salzkammergut resort region. It was the pageant’s last preliminary competition prior to the grand finals on Saturday, December 5 at the Marx Halle in Vienna.

UPDATE: Panama wins Miss Earth 2015 Sports Competiton

Miss Earth 2015 Sports competition was held where all the contestants had to prove their physical strength and mental determination through series of physical tasks. All the contestants went through these tasks and finally their performances were evaluated to arrive at the result of the contest. At the end, 3 lucky ladies took home the medals. These 3 girls were:

Gold: Panama, Carmen Jaramillo

Silver: Portugal, Berth Elouga

Bronze: South Africa, Carla Viktor

Miss Earth is celebrating the Crystal Year this year in Vienna, Austria. The finale shall be held on 5th December where all the 89 contestants shall competing each other to grab the coveted title of Miss Earth 2015. The winner shall be crowned by the out going queen Jamie Herrel.

Miss Earth 2015 officially declares its Hosts

Miss Earth 2015 has announced their official hosts for the event which finale which will be held on 5th December in Vienna. Over 90 beauties from all over the world will participate in the contest and the reigning Miss Earth, Jamie Herrel from Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the show.

MEET THE HOSTS

1. Oli Pettigrew 

Oli is a Hong Kong-born British actor, model, and award winning television host, based in the USA. He has hosted Miss Earth pageant twice in 2010 and 2013.  He is best known for hosting Cash Cab Asia, Sony Style, Lonely Planet Six Degrees China and Epad on Max in Asia, as well as being the newest member of the cast of the Nationally syndicated US show Right This Minute

2. Joey Mead King

Joey is a television personality, fashion lifestyle host, runway coach and is the model mentor/co-judge on popular reality show, Asia’s Next Top Model cycles two and three. She has also hosted Miss Earth pageant last year in Philippines.

3. Katia Wagner

Katia was a one time contestant at Miss Earth 2013 who bagged the highest placement for Austria so far by finishing as Top 5. 

Miss Earth 2015 Preliminary Competiton Update - Evening Gown Winners

Chile, Mongolia and Panama won the Evening Gown competition held at the Rathaus in Vienna last night. The contestants were divided into 3 groups where Chile, Mongolia and Panama won each group respectively.
The winners:
GOLD – Chile, Mongolia, Panama
SILVER – Colombia, New Caledonia, Thailand
BRONZE – Kosovo, Russia, Philippines

In Group 1, Miss Chile Natividad Leiva won the gold medal for her pale red rose gown accented by faux jewels. The gown was eye catching as it is backless and nicely hugged the phenomenal figure of Natie. Earning the silver medal in the group is Miss Colombia Estefania Muñoz while Miss Kosovo Kaltrina Neziri took the bronze.

In Group 2, Miss Mongolia Bayartsetseg Altangerel, who is a heavy favorite, won the gold with her salmon pink gown. Placing second is Miss New Caledonia Julia Roquigny and on the third place is Miss Russia Maria Chudakova.

Group 3, Miss Panama Carmen Jaramillo won the gold medal. She donned a cyan gown embellished with metallic floral appliqué. Miss Thailand Chavika Watrsang and Miss Philippines Angelia Ong finished second and third respectively.

Carolyne J. Bernard has been appointed as Miss Earth Tanzania 2015

Carolyne J. Bernard has been appointed as Miss Earth Tanzania 2015. The 21 years old and 1.73m tall titleholder will be representing her country at Miss Earth pageant to be heldon December 5, 2015 in Marx Halle Vienna, Austria.  

Carolyne won Miss Universe Tanzania 2014 pageant but could not represent the country at the international pageant due to an accident that fractured her leg. This caused her runner, Nale Boniface to be sent as the national delegate. The closest the country has gotten to at Miss Earth pagenat was in 2008 when Miriam Odemba finihsed as 1st runner up. Evelyne Almasi of 2009 bagged a special award of Best in National Costume.

Lola Ortega Martinez is the new Miss Earth Spain 2015

Lola Ortega Martinez is the new delegate to represent Spain at Miss Earth 2015. The official announcement was made on the Miss Earth Spain official Facebook page that she will be replacing the initial delegate, Andrea Pannochia as Miss Earth Spain 2015 with reasons for this change not stated.

Lola is 1.74 meters tall.  She is studying Language and Psychology.  She was first runner-up to Andrea at the casting of Miss Earth Spain 2015. Spain has never won the crown of Miss Earth before since its participation in 2001. However, it has been placed as 3rd runner up twice in 2009 and 2007 courtesy of Alejandra Echevarría and  Ángela Gómez respectively. Also placed as Top 8 twice and Top 16 thrice. Andrea will try grabbing the first ever crown of Miss Earth this year. Do you think she has what it takes to bag Spain's first Miss Earth crown?

NEWS: Palestine makes Debut in Miss Earth 2015 with Walaa Issa Khair

Just as Armenia and New Caledonia, Palestine would be making its debut at Miss Earth 2015 pageant with Walaa Issa Khair As per reports, Greenland also indicated making a debut at the pageant this year, but seems it will not longer be competing which we has not been confirmed till date. 

Andrea Melgarejo is the new Miss Earth Paraguay 2015

Sequel to the appointment of former Miss Earth Paraguay 2015, Myriam Arévalos as Miss Universe Paraguay 2015, Andrea Melgarejo is now the new Miss Earth Paraguay 2015. She will be representing Paraguay at Miss Earth 2015 pageant to be held on 5 December 2015 at Marx Halle, Vienna, Austria where reigning Jamie Herrell of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Aaital Khosla wins Miss Earth India 2015

Aaital Khosla won the Miss Earth India 2015 on 4th November at Courtyard Marriott in Gurgaon.  She defeated 11 other contestants to win the first ever edition of Miss Earth India 2015. Aaital will now represent India at the 15th edition of Miss Earth which will take place on 5th December at Marx Hall in Vienna, Austria.

Imaj Ahmed Hassan is Miss Earth Egypt 2015.

Imaj Ahmed Hassan has been handpicked as Miss Earth Egypt 2015. She was a contestant at Miss Egypt 2014 and finished as Top 10 at the contest. She succeeds Nancy Magdy who placed Top 16 at Miss Earth 2014 contest. Imaj will now represent Egypt in Miss Earth 2015 contest that shall be held in Vienna, Austria later this December where she would try to succeed Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell.

Silvia Commodore is Miss Earth Ghana 2015

Silvia Commodore won the Miss Earth Ghana 2015 on Oct. 3 at the La Palm Hotel in Accra, Ghana. She is 22 years old from Accra and competed with 5 other finalists to clinch to the national title. As Miss Earth Ghana, she will be joining other delegates in Vienna, Austria to win the Miss Earth 2015 title. 

Armenia Makes Debut in Miss Earth 2015 with Lilit Martirosyan

Miss Earth Armenia 2015 is Lilit Martirosyan. She is 26 years old from Yerevan, the capital and largest city of Armenia. She is a professional model and the winner of Top Model Armenia 2015. As Top Model Armenia, she participated in Top Model of the World 2015 in Egypt where she was appointed to make Armenia's debut in Miss Earth 2015 to be held in Vienna, Austria.

 

Armenia is a landlocked country in the South Caucasus region of Eurasiais bordered by Turkey to the west, Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, and Iran and the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan to the south.

Who will Succeed Jamie Herrell? - Meet Miss Earth 2015 Contestants

Miss Earth 2015, the 15th edition of Miss Earth pageant will be held on 5 December 2015 at Marx Halle, Vienna, Austria where reigning Jamie Herrell of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event.
