Myriam Arevalos at Miss World Paraguay 2014

At the end of the event held yesterday, Sept. 21,
Myriam Arevalos was crowned
Miss Earth Paraguay 2015. The 21 years old and 5'9" tall queen from San Pedro is studying International Relations. Myriam is not a new bie sin international pageants as she was Miss World Paraguay 2014 but failed to be placed. However, contested in Miss United Continents 2015 recently and was adjudged 1st runner-up at the pageant. Being crowned Miss Earth Paraguay 2015, she now proceeds to participate in Miss Earth 2015 later this year in Vienna, Austra.

Laura Garcete was crowned
Miss Universe Paraguay 2015 (Nuestra Belleza Paraguay 2015). And succeeding Myriam is
Giovanna Cordeiro as
Miss World Paraguay 2015 and
Mónica Mariani as Miss International Paraguay
2015.
| Paraguay
is more successful in Miss Earth pageant unlike other international
pageants. In 2004, Yanina Alicia González Jorgge finished as 3rd runner
up and with an award of Best in Swimsuit which marks the highest point
of Paraguay so far. In 2005, Tania María Domaniczky Vargas finished as
Top 8. Also in 2009, Paraguay didn't fail to place as Gabriela Rejala
finished as Top 16 as well as Nicole Huber in 2011. The country has not
earned another placement since its last placement in 2011 but has record
of sponsored award of Miss Earth Hamilo Coast in 2012 by Alexandra
Fretes and Leticia Cáceres was Top 15 in 2013 in the talent show.
Finally, last year's representative Sendy Cáceres was also among the
winners in challenge events as Best Teacher, Cocktail Wear and Resort Wear. |
