Miss Washington Teen USA 2016 is Claire Wright

Claire Wright was crowned Miss Washington Teen USA 2016 on October 18, 2015. She is  from Seattle and stands 5'8" tall. She was crowned by the outgoing queen, Miss Washington Teen USA 2015 Priya Gopal-Walker. Claire will represent her state at the 2016 Miss Teen USA Pageant. Stormy Keffeler was crowned Miss Washington USA 2016 at the same event.




After winning Miss Washington Junior Teen in 2013 she represented Washington state as she competed in the National Miss America pageant competition, finishing in the top 10. She said it was an amazing experience, and she enjoyed meeting so many girls from all over the nation. Wright said she started doing pageants in seventh grade after being bullied in some of her regular activities. In her very first pageant, she made the top 15.

She created an inspirational program, PROJECT CLAIRE BEAR, which has aided hundreds of children in learning to overcome their challenges. Claire is a senior at Eastside Catholic High School, where she is a National Honor Society member and leader. She plans to obtain her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and become a broadcast journalist for a major network.

Second runner-up : Abigail Hill – Selah
Third runner-up : Taylor Mann – Edmonds
Fourth runner-up : Sylvia Coulson – Skagit County
