Bella Hadid plans to participate in 2016 Olympics

Bella Hadid has revealed that she is training to take part in the 2016 Olympics. The model, who is an avid horsewoman, has not revealed which event she hopes to take part in - since three equestrian events: Eventing, Jumping, and Dressage, will take place at next year's summer games in Rio - but horses have been a passion for her and sister Gigi since she was a child.

"My devotion stemmed from my mom's love of horses. I have been riding since I could walk and the fact that my mom knew everything about horses really helped my passion grow," she told Porter, adding that she finds that the pursuit has therapeutic properties. "You know how every model is like, 'I do yoga.' Well, I find horses have the same effect. You have to put your ego aside and concentrate on making the horse do the things you want it to do, and move in the way you want it to move." Bella explained

The model's mother, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and former model Yolanda Foster, often shares pictures of herself and daughters Gigi and Bella riding their beloved horses near their California home. Both girls have recently risen through the modelling ranks, and have been tipped to become the first Victoria's Secret Angel sisters, having both worked for the lingerie label now.

Bella Hadid is in good fashion company in her equestrian pursuits, with fellow models Edie Campbell and Charlotte Casiraghi also practicing the sport at a competitive level.
