Gracyn Blackmore won
Miss VA Teen USA 2016 at the state pageant conducted on Oct 11, 2015 at beautiful Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, VA. She
would be representing Virginia at Miss Teen USA 2016 where reigning
Katherine Haik of Louisiana would crown her successor. Gracyn succeeds last year's winner, Annie Kutyna who was unplaced at Miss Teen USA 2015.

Desiree Williams was crowned
Miss Virginia USA 2016 and would be competing in Miss USA 2016.
The princesses at Miss Virginia 2016 were Nayjah Mickens - Little Miss Virginia Inspiring Princess and Hannah Grau - Jr Miss Virginia Inspiring Princess.

Virginia has never won the Miss Teen USA pageant. Its highest placement till date was in its debut year, 1983 when Tina Marocco from Richmond finished as 1st runner up at the pageant. Placed as 3rd runner up twice in 1986 and 2006 by
Angela Thigpin and Samantha Casey respectively. Misty Hon of 1998 finished as Top 5. The state has also finished as Top 10 severally by Kimberly Grigsby (1997), Kristi Lauren Glakas (1999), Tori Hall (2005), Emily Bruce (2007), Top 12 - Andrea Ballengee (1992) and Top 15 courtesy of Megan Myrehn (2008), Jacqueline Carroll (2010)
