Alissa Morrison won Miss Iowa USA 2016 at Last!

Alissa Morrison from Davenport was crowned Miss Iowa USA 2016 on October 11, 2015. The 24 years old and 5'9" tall beauty will compete at Miss USA 2016, where she hopes succeed reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. Morrison defeated 19 other contestants to succeed Miss Iowa USA 2015 Taylor Even.

Alissa is a beauty with perseverance, she had been contesting conisitently to win the honour of representing her state. She was semifinalist at Miss IOWA USA 2012 and 2013, finished 2RU at @014 edition and 1RU last year.

Her dream of being Miss Iowa USA has evolved over the years, from deciding on a whim to compete when she was 20, to the conviction that, with effort, heart, passion, and faith she has everything that it takes to be Miss Iowa USA – “One day I will be able to make an impact on the world by being involved in the Miss Universe Organization.” she said.
