Halley Maas was crowned Miss North Dakota USA 2016

Halley Maas was crowned Miss North Dakota USA 2016 on November 22, 2015. As the newly crowned queen, she will represent her state at Miss USA 2016 where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. The beauty queen from Grand Forks succeeds Molly Ketterling of Elgi. The state's delegate for Miss Teen is Paige Mathison.

North Dakota has had only four placements and has never won the Miss USA crown. Their highest placement was in 2014 when Audra Mari placed first runner-up to Nia Sanchez of Nevada.
